4.3.3.2 LONE-TAR Update
When updating from any version prior to 4.3.3.2, please do not import any device settings. Since we have overhauled our Device Library Menu, if you import devices from previous versions may result in failed backups. Please re-add all backup devices when updating to v4.3.3.2. Thanks
If you are updating an already installed LONE-TAR and experience any backup/restore issues, please re-install LONE-TAR v4.3.3.2 and preserve no settings from the previous installation.

LONE-TAR Version 4.3.3.2 Updates |
| New Selective-Incremental Mode - Click here for more details |
| All devices will now have their own exclusion and inclusion lists. Before every device shared the same inclusion and exclusion lists.
Lists will be created by LONE-TAR and stored inside /log/list.dir How the naming scheme works for the inclusion list is incorporating the devices Alias name into the file name. If you add a device and call the alias of the device RDX. alias_name="RDX" The exclusion list would look like this: /log/list.dir/exclude-Master_RDX Master Backup Exclusion List: /log/list.dir/exclude-Master_${alias_name} Incremental Backup Exclusion List: /log/list.dir/exclude-Incremental_${alias_name} Selective Backup Exclusion List: /log/list.dir/exclude-Selective_${alias_name} All these lists can be changed and modified directly from the LONE-TAR Device Manager Menu. |
| - When editing a device or viewing a device, the capacity now displays in GB not Kb for all devices except DVD and CD drives. |
| - Added a lot more error checks from user-input during device creation. |
| - With the adding of all these new inclusion/exclusion lists for each device, we also added a cleanup feature to remove these lists if the device gets removed within LONE-TAR.
By default LONE-TAR will not remove any inclusion or exclusion lists when a device gets removed from the Device Manager in LONE-TAR. If you would like to remove the lists if a device gets removed, then edit the following file and variable. Filename: /usr/lone-tar/ltar.cfg Variable name: DEVICE_LIST_REMOVE="NO" Change that variable to equal YES and when a device gets removed, so will the backup lists. |
| - Increased capacity to choose from during device creation. Now up to 7TB. The select your own capacity is still available if you need to enter a non listed capacity. |
| Fixed the cosmetic look of cron.reset when ran from the command line. |
| lt_functions - modified how logs get updated when running before/after commands for backups and verifies. |
| Fixed issue with devices inclusion/exclusion lists not getting passed when changing from default backup device within LONE-TAR Menu based backups. |
