K2 (3rd Party) Styling Support

K2 is the popular powerful content extension for Joomla! with CCK-like features. The version used in this Demo site is 2.5.7. K2 was built as a complete replacement of the default article system in Joomla!. Install it like any Joomla! extension, import your articles from the default Joomla! article system and you instantly get a host of new features for your existing content.

The 3rd party component K2 is NOT included in RocketLauncher. You will need to download them from Get K2 and configure them on your site.

RokAjaxSearch

RokAjaxSearch is a truly powerful module that brings fantastic search functionality to Joomla, using the powerful and versatile javascript library, Mootools as well as full Google Search integration.

RokAjaxSearch offers AJAX powered real time search results for both your Joomla site content as well Google Search. There are various configuration options and parameters allowing you to enable not only Google web search, but Google Blog search, Google Image search, and Google Video search.

Upgrade Guide

Check the version of your RESCUE-RANGER:

# cat /usr/rr/rr.ini | grep "VERSION="

Upgrade Options:
1. Install LONE-TAR & RESCUE-RANGER over top existing installation. Installation Instructions
2. Download modified files and copy over top existing installation.


Modified Files to copy over:

mk_rr
These files deal with the RESCUE-RANGER Image Creation
rrmenu
These files handle the RESCUE-RANGER Image during boot up and load all necessary configurations into the RESCUE-RANGER RAM.
rr.ini
This file contains variable settings for RESCUE-RANGER during RESCUE-RANGER Image Creation.


Updating RESCUE-RANGER from a previous version:

Download modified files here >> ftp://ftp.cactus.com/demos/4316-SCO/rr

When upgrading RESCUE-RANGER to a more current release, all you have to do is follow these steps below:

1.    Download the modified files for the RESCUE-RANGER version you want to install
       To download first make sure the files you want exist at ftp://ftp.cactus.com/demos/4316-SCO/rr

2.    Move the old files out of the way before moving new files in its place.
       # cd /usr/rr
       # mv mk_ab mk_ab.orig
       # mv config/abmenu config/abmenu.orig

3.    After downloading the modified files to your local 'tmp' directory, lets copy them over.
       # cd /usr/rr
       # cp /tmp/mk_rr .
       # cd config
       # cp /tmp/rrmenu .

Download Directories for each Supported Linux Flavor
